Miami, June 20, 2009- Cornelia Schutt  (TiCorn) ’s voice resonant will forever connect to traditional Haitian music lovers. Introspection and melancholy were combined with self-deprecating wit, great guitar work, and beautiful

songs in TiCorn’s concert at North Miami Beach Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater in Miami on Saturday night. The Haitian-German song stress, who has written many famous traditional songs, one of Haiti’s most famous tune that she had interpret and made famous is “Haiti Cherie”. Returning from over a decade of absence from the music scene, brought to those in attendance, memories of the past, while moving to the future accompanied by legendary artists such as Robert Martino, Tom Mitchelll, Samuel Saint-Fleur, Dony Felix and Bemol Telfort…the beginning of a series of concerts she has planned for the Summer.

The night was not only filled with musical ballads from TiCorn, but famous Haitian storyteller/poet/song writer, Jean-Claude Martineau, (Koralen) used humor as a defense mechanism to compliment the night.  He even went on to perform a duet with TiCorn, a song that is featured on her latest album.

Ti Corn, Koralen and Renette, performing live

TiCorn made up her set list as she goes, bringing Koralen between sets to connect his storytelling with her songs. What emerges as a surprise was the performance of invited guest artist, Renette Desir, whom can only be described as the hidden treasure of the Haitian music industry.  She did a duet with TiCorn and went on to perform a solo, the song Vie jo a song written by Jean-Claude Martineau that is also featured on Emeline Michel’s last Cd ‘Reine De Coeur’.

The show had good-sized pauses in between songs with some stories and comments, explaining the meaning and the circumstances of each song. She went through her whole repertoire, and the list is too long to list them all; if you are familiar with TiCorn, you probably have an idea of her all time favorites.

The show was hosted by Alessandra Lemoine, (daughter of Radio icon, Bob Lemoine).  She was also the organizer of the event and under the production name Aly's Communications Inc.  she seems very happy with the outcome of the event. The crowd gave the performers a wonderful ovation, and TiCorn joined them at the Theater’s lobby to greet and thank them, and also signed autographs of her latest CD.  It was a very positive and supportive audience with the desire and appetite for something out of the ordinary.
